Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and many people are going to be traveling for the holiday. With COVID-19 it is very important to be as safe as possible when traveling. According to Doctor Mike Hansen, here are some tips/facts to help you.

#1 When traveling, try to avoid using public transportation and if you do make sure you wear a mask, wash your hands, and use hand sanitizer and avoid touching your hands and mouth.

#2 When flying, wear an N95 Respirator Mask, or an elastomeric respirator. Both these masks filter out at least 95% of airborne particles that are as small as 0.3 microns.

#3 You can wear eye goggles that prevent air from flowing into your eyes, that’s another way you can get the virus.

#4 When flying, bring sanitizing wipes to wipe the airplane tray if you are going to use it.

#5 Most commercial flights have very clean cabin air, they have compressed air passing through the jet engines at super-hot temperatures (482 degrees Fahrenheit) The air is then cooled and put under the pressure of 450 PSI, and then put through the air filters which can filter airborne particles that are as small as 0.3 microns which is as good as an N95 Respirator Mask.

#6 If you do use a public restroom, be sure to use a lot of hand sanitizer!

Hope this helps and stay healthy!
